Celebrating LGBTQ+
At cardfactory, we strive to offer something for everyone, so that whoever you are there'll be a perfect card for you... and that includes LGBTQ+ people.
As part of our ongoing ambition to be as inclusive as possible, we're celebrating Pride 2023 by showcasing work by and for this community.
We are championing several talented LGBTQ+ Creatives – including writers, illustrators and photographers. Plus, we've also introduced some new card sends – so that we can all truly take Pride in celebrating everyone's life moments!
Being Proud of Pride's History
cardfactory is celebrating Pride, while still acknowledging its historic roots – which is particularly important to non-binary Creative Jordan Wray: "To me, Pride means everybody – whatever their gender or sexual orientation – coming together to celebrate their differences... but to also understand the true origin of Pride."
The cute characters and bright colours of Jordan's Pride cards come with a snippet of Pride's history on the reverse. Jordan continues: "Pride began with the Stonewall Riots of the late 60's. It was more of a protest for LGBTQ+ liberation and acceptance – and we shouldn't forget this."

Spotlighting cardfactory Creatives
cardfactory has always championed its LGBTQ+ Creatives – including Editor Peter Fox, who spent several years helping create cards for this demographic. He says: "As a gay man, I know how hard it's always been to find a card that represents you. So I keep trying to find new ways to connect with LGBTQ+ people."
Peter has helped create a range of cards to celebrate Pride 2023. He says: "I've always felt that being your authentic self is a political statement and that's what these cards are about. Celebrate your difference, while standing together – then we can change the world!"
